About Plumbum

plum-sire-century-balaton

'Plum' was born in April 2002 at the Tersk Stud, Russia and arrived at the Kossack Stud, Holland, in Autumn 2004. Sally saw him and knew he was what she had been looking for, buying him in 2005.

Plum is a stunning stallion with a fantastic temperament. He exudes type and has a wonderful head and neck. His conformation is impeccable and his movement is breath taking. Plum is the son of the famous “sire of the century” Balaton and out of the outstanding Naftalin daughter, Pantomima.

Although only lightly shown in hand in 2005, Plum showed his quality becoming the unanimous Dutch National Champion with 20s for his movement.

Plum was bought to compete in both ridden and dressage. In his first season under saddle he was only shown four times and achieved 2 Championships, 3 Firsts and one placing in his four outings. Plum also competes affiliated dressage and has a number of wins to his credit.

With such all round type, beauty, excellent conformation and movement, already proven in-hand and under saddle, Plum's breeding will be an asset to many breeding programmes. Plum is available to approved mares. He has already produced four lovely offspring in Holland and France. Plum is passing on his looks, movement and temperament.
